For those wishing to know the latest on the peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich issue covered here in the past and how much time and money the J. M. Smucker Company spent to keep other companies from making the traditional American sandwich, a good update is here.

V-plow changes

To make blades easier and faster to change, Richwood V-Plow replacement blades will now include the 1 7/8 inch tube and bracket. Who is creative?

Here's a veteran newspaperman who wants to give some credit where it is due and maybe steer some talented young people into really creative careers. A sample:

A lot of kids can tell you about Vin Diesel, a bouncer turned actor, but how many have ever heard of Rudolph Diesel, who invented the engine in 1897 that today we call a diesel? John Browning was one of the greatest industrial designers of all time, and his weapons are still used by the military today.

Perhaps one day, if we ever restore independence to our news organizations, they will pay more attention to the Nobel Prizes than they do to the Academy Awards and Golden Globes, and more children will aspire to greater things than 15 minutes of fame for nothing.
